MLC Interiors is a full service Interior Design firm that specializes in residential and commercial interiors in New Jersey and the surrounding Tri-State area.
Our projects can range from a single room redecoration to an entirely new construction project where we assist the architect and builder from concept to completion. Having been in the Interior Design business since 1990, we have gathered a tremendous amount of resources necessary to successfully complete a project in a timely and professional manner.
We work side by side with a hand-selected group of talented artisans, woodworkers, painters, contractors etc. to ensure that the end result of a given project be of the highest quality of workmanship. In addition we work with numerous furniture manufacturers that allow us to be competitive in our pricing in order to meet the needs of every individual project.
Fundamental to our design approach is that a home or workspace becomes the backdrop for an individual’s own personal style and should function according to their needs. MLC Interiors is deeply committed to client services while creating environments that are both comfortable and stylish.
We strongly believe that collaboration between client and designer is an essential ingredient in achieving a favorable outcome. Our ultimate goal is an outcome we hope our clients can be proud of. MLC Interiors is best known for creating rooms that are beautiful and tranquil.
Our objective is to provide a harmonious design scheme that depicts both classic and contemporary styles. Our focus is on creating a space that is timeless by combining elements from various periods. Living spaces are to be carefully curated and the transition from room to room seamless.

Mary Louise Clarke
Mary Lou Clarke began her career early on as an Assistant to a Commercial Interior Designer for Pfizer Corporation in NYC at the age of eighteen. Upon completing college with a B.A. in Interior Design and a certificate in Decorative Art Studies from Parsons in Paris she went on to work in the Contract Department at F. Schumacher and Co.
Upon completing a two year stay with the firm she took a position as designer at Duffy Inc. in Two World Trade Center in NYC. She spent the next two years working with a design team on projects for a variety of customers that included Cincinnati Bell, Continental Insurance and Riverview Hospital.
With the birth of her first born son Mary Lou and her husband moved to New Jersey where she made the decision to open her own firm.
The firm has taken on many projects over the years that range in size from Design Consulting to New Construction and Renovation. She has enjoyed the relationships she has formed with both co-workers and clients, many of who are repeat customers.
